    Wolf Scholarship

    In 1999 the Stewart and Virginia Wolf Memorial Scholarship was created to support a graduating senior who personifies the values of creativity, intellectual curiosity, and community service. Recipients are willing to look beyond grade point average and S.A.T. scores, seeking ways to expand their world view and consider how best to contribute to society. The scholarship awards $5000 per year, for up to 4 years provided the student maintains a GPA of 3.0 or better.

    Portland High School Alumni Scholarship

    The Portland High School Alumni Scholarship Is given in honor and in memory of the graduates of the former Portland High School. A scholarship of $4000 is given to a graduating Senior pursuing higher education, and renewable for up to 4 years of higher education. This scholarship is funded by the generous donations of the alumni and friends of Portland High School, most notably the late Michael Moreken and Sadie Wise Stauffer. The Portland School Award is awarded to a student living in the area once served by the former Portland Elementary School and is a one-time award of $1000 to a resident of Portland Borough or Upper Mount Bethel Township.

    Antonio Trigiani Achievement Award

    Named after Antonio Trigiani, former businessman, mayor of Roseto, caring husband and father of eleven children, the Antonio Trigiani Memorial School Achievement Awards acknowledge the high scholastic achievements of the top student in each of Bangor Area High School’s five curricular areas of study. In 1997, Edythe Trigiani, Antonio’s daughter, gave the Bangor Area School District Education Foundation a generous gift to honor his memory through academic awards to graduating seniors. The award is presented to those who have worked diligently toward success in their high school careers. As a young immigrant from Roseto Valforte, Italy, Mr. Trigiani mastered all he could learn about his new community. He understood the responsibilities of raising a family, running a business and contributing to the welfare of his neighbors and friends. He earned the nickname “Sandide” which translates to “little angel”. He remains an outstanding role model for all of us.

Emily Kolankiewicz

Emily Kolankiewicz was one of the 2017-2018 recipients of The Stewart & Virginia Wolf Scholarship. She plans to attend Nova Southeastern University for Marine Biology.

Sophia Rossetti

Sophia Rossetti was another recipient of the 2017-2018 recipients of The Stewart & Virginia Wolf Scholarship. She plans to attend American University for International Relations.

Bradon was awarded the 2018 Antonio Trigiani Memorial School Achievement Award for the Business Curriculum.

Sarah Teague

Sarah was awarded the Kate Sabatine Memorial Scholarship. She will be pursuing a degree in Special Education.

Sarah was awarded the 2018 Antonio Trigiani Memorial School Achievement Award for the Technology Education Curriculum and is will be attending Temple University.

Gina Messiano

Gina was awarded the 2018 Antonio Trigiani Memorial School Achievement Award for the Vocation-Technical Curriculum and will be attending The Beauty Institute to pursue her PA Cosmetology Instructor's License.
